Sowmya plans to hide the baby elsewhere and speaks to someone on the phone. Believing no one is home, she prepares to move the baby but hears the doorbell and hides the baby in the storeroom.
Mangal and Lakshmi arrive disguised as pest control workers. Inside the house, they notice Sowmya acting nervous and refusing to let them near the storeroom. Lakshmi distracts Sowmya by spraying liquid on her feet and asks her to wash them.
While Sowmya leaves, Mangal sneaks into the storeroom to search for the baby. Sowmya returns, removes Lakshmi’s mask, and realises the truth.
Just then, Adit and Kusum arrive home and question the smoke and Lakshmi’s presence. Sowmya accuses Mangal and Lakshmi of harassing her. At that moment, Mangal comes out holding the baby and boldly declares that the baby is alive and she did not kill her.
She reminds Sowmya that she saved the baby earlier and again today. A stunned Sowmya is left speechless as Mangal questions why she declared her living baby dead.
